Jakub Cywiński Street Quartet consists of excellent musicians with a very large and diverse artistic experience. They will present original compositions as well as own arrangements of popular jazz standards, the music they play oscillates between mainstream jazz, ethno and fusion.   

The band will be joined by an excellent Italian singer living in London, Irene Serra!

Born in Poland, based in London, Jakub Cywiński is a double bass player and composer who currently explores his interest in collaborating with various contemporary composers and jazz musicians such as Ola Onabule, Marco Marconi, Partikel, Power of the Horns and Nicolas Meyer among others… He studied double bass as a postgraduate at the Royal College of Music. His varied freelance career has taken him to India, Russia, Lebanon, and other places around the world….

Irene Serra is a critically acclaimed Italian Jazz vocalist and composer raised in Denmark and now based in London. She is known for her varied and eclectic repertoire, masterfully performing gypsy jazz, swinging standards, blues, Brazilian music, and her own original compositions. Her poised performances have already earned her much critical acclaim: her performances with Gypsy jazz band La Bouche Manouche have over 5 million views on YouTube and her original project, ISQ, was a ‘Time Out Critics Choice’. She was also a finalist at the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition in 2009. Irene is releasing her second album with La Bouche Manouche, ‘Got A Little Rhythm’ in May 2023 and is currently working on her 5th album of original music with her project, ISQ. 

Elliot Frost is an Australian jazz guitarist and composer from Boorloo/Perth who has been making his base in London since 2019. Since relocating, Frost has been establishing himself as both a bandleader and sideman with performances at some of London’s most celebrated jazz clubs (The Vortex, The Crypt, Ronnie Scott’s and Hampstead Jazz Club to name a few). He also released his debut album New Surroundings in 2023 on the AMP Music and Records label. Frost’s compositions have been described as “richly melodic” and his guitar playing “intelligent and inspired” (Mike Gates – UK Vibe).

Ollie Peszynski grew up playing in and around the Bristol music scene until going to the University of Southampton in 2017. Now in London, Ollie has completed his Masters at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama and is regularly performing and teaching around the city. 

Marcin Muras – trombone jazz player and composer from Poland who studied at Birmingham Jazz Music Conservatoire and Academy of Music in Katowice. Marcin collaborated with ‘Zbigniew Namysłowski’s Big-Band, Musical Theatre Buffo, T-Love,  ‘Kazik, Jamal, Gaba Kulka, Smolik, and ‘Brass Federacja.
