In an evening that promises to enchant, and with music whose warmth and magic will sustain you in the depths of January, celebrated and award-winning singer, violinist and songwriter Alice Zawadzki returns to POSK with a new trio of exceptional musicians, pianist Bruno Heinen, and bassist Tom Mason.

Described by MOJO magazine as “something of a phenomenon“, Alice’s musical style has always been hard to categorise, but at its core lies a devotion to the art of storytelling, embracing the listener, and luminosity of sound. An early immersion in New Orleans jazz and gospel, her classical training as a violinist, and her constant exploration of improvised and roots music, inform a unique style and heartfelt performances, with Jazzwise Magazine declaring that “her lustrous vocal range is the real live deal. A commanding, intense performer.

Esteemed pianist and composer, Dr Bruno Heinen, described by The Guardian Newspaper as “eclectic, eccentric and unobtrusively erudite“, joins with his trademark warmth and expressiveness, and taking care of the low end is the ubiquitous and much celebrated bassist Tom Mason, whose deeply grooving bass playing and exquisite musicality has seen him perform with Questlove, Lizz Wright, Mark Ronson, Anoushka Shankar, and Robert Mitchell, to name just a few.
