About the Musicians

Tomasz Zyrmont

Tomasz Zyrmont is a renowned pianist, composer, and educator based in London. He has performed at prestigious events such as the London Jazz Festival, Yamaha Music Live, Wigmore Lates, and the Jazz FM Discovery Show.

A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Tomasz has showcased his talent across Poland, the UK, Germany, the USA, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Notable venues include the British Parliament, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, and 606 Club.

He leads the Groove Razors, an electric group that has released two albums featuring his original compositions. Tomasz also founded the Tomasz Zyrmont Trio, which has performed at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and participated in festivals like Polish Music Week and Wigmore Lates. In 2022, Tomasz initiated the Interphase Quartet, a contemporary jazz ensemble in collaboration with saxophonist Sean Khan.

Tomasz has had the honor of performing a Silent Piano concert for the Yamaha company, as well as playing a piano set before Hiromi’s exclusive concert and participating in several concerts.
Beyond his performances, Tomasz curated a vibrant series of jam sessions at Jazz Cafe POSK, where he consistently graced the piano with his artistry and contributed to various projects since the club’s inception.

Maciek Pysz

The lyrical and virtuoso Polish guitarist performs music full of passion and touching melodies. Originally from Poland but living between the UK and France, Maciek Pysz is a guitarist and composer known for his clear lyrical phrasing, virtuosity and imaginative cinematic compositions.

To date, he has released three albums as leader, three as co-leader and participated in numerous albums as a sideman. He has worked with musicians such as Richard Galliano, Daniele di Bonaventura, Tim Garland, Ivo Neame, Asaf Sirkis and Yuri Goloubev to name a few.

He tours widely in France, Poland and Italy and releases his latest solo guitar album “A View” in October 2019 (Caligola Records). The album received praise from critic John Arnett (London Jazz News).

His debut album “Insight” (33Jazz) features Yuri Goloubev and Asaf Sirkis, and ECM artist Daniele di Bonaventura appears on his second album, “A Journey.” This album, released on Dot Time Records, received several 4-star reviews, including one from Ian Mann who wrote: “Pysz is a quiet virtuoso who has become one of the most distinctive guitarists around.” In May 2017 he released a duet album London Stories (33Jazz) with guitarist Gianluca Corona which received a 5-star review from Lance Liddle “There won’t be many, if any, better guitar albums out there this year.”
