Tales of the Bizarre, by Olga Tokarczuk – A literary meeting

Tales of the Bizarre by Noble Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk will stand at the focus of our upcoming Literary gathering. Participants are welcomed to secure their copies of the book before the meeting

Tales of the Bizarre by Noble Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk will serve as the center piece of our debate which will be held on Friday October 7 at 11 a.m.

The Polish language discussion will be held by Rina Bodinkin, winner of the 2022 translation workshop.

As a follow up to her accomplishment, she will lead the translation into Hebrew of the 2019 book Stramer by Mikołaj Łoziński’s which will be released via Carmel publishing.

Tales of the Bizarre is a collection of ten short stories which represent the writing style of Olga Tokarczuk.

The fictional stories take place in various locations, Asia, Switzerland, etc, and during different times from the 17’th century to our own days.

Tokarczuk, in her unique skill, offers them to the reader to enhance her surprise and marvel at our complex world. Which is pieced together from the mundane, but also the bizarre.
