Art under Fire – An event in the shadow of the Russian-Ukrainian War
A special event to be held at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design with the participation of the Polish Institute Tel Aviv will discuss the issue of art during wartime
and will take place on May 11 2022 – this is a day-long event.
The first part – 13:00 – 14:00 will be a physical event during which students films on the topic of immigration, identity, and both Russian and Ukrainian Cultures will be shown.
The films were created during a documentary film making course for second year students between 2021-2022.

The second part of the day will take place between 20:00 – 21:30 and will be an online discussion on national identities in Eastern Europe, the animation studio of the USSR, political censorship
and the fight for artistic freedom. That part will include academics, creators, reporters and more.
