We invite you to a literary gathering with Hila Timur-Ashur, an Israeli documentary filmmaker, author, and journalist dedicated to her book “Crust of Bread”.
The gathering will be hosted by Orit Margaliot – an educator and instructor, an expert on the history of Polish Jews and Polish-Israeli relations.
The event will occur via “Zoom” on Tuesday, December 12 at 7 pm.
The “Crust of Bread” is a historical novel and a family story that deals with family history in Poland on the brink of World War II and in Russia and Israel in the 1970s and 1980s. It presents two points of view of a granddaughter and a grandmother regarding life, family secrets, and people’s fate, among the most important historical events in the world.
The novel was published in 2019 by Kinneret Zmora Dvir. The book was translated into Polish and published in 2022 under “Skórka od chleba”.
