Polish Films at the Jerusalem Film Festival

Four Polish films, a special guest, and a screening of a classic film by Andrzej Wajda marking the 100th anniversary of the director’s birth.

The Polish Institute in Tel Aviv invites audiences to join a special cinematic journey as part of the Jerusalem Film Festival 2026. We are proud that Polish cinema is present every year at one of the most important film events in Israel – and once again it holds a significant place in the festival program.

This year’s selection brings together new Polish cinema, acclaimed at leading international festivals across Europe, with classical works that have become cornerstones of world cinema. Among them is a screening of a film by Andrzej Wajda, marking the 100th anniversary of his birth – a special event that revisits one of the greatest achievements of Polish cinema.

In addition, director Rafael Kapelinski will visit the festival as a guest of the Polish Institute and will meet the audience after the screening of his film in a Q&A session.
