We invite you on a virtual journey to Lublin and its surroundings – one of the most fascinating and diverse regions of Poland. During the lecture, we will take a virtual walk through Lublin’s Old Town, discover the story of one of the most important cities in Polish history and its remarkable Jewish heritage, and explore the highlights of the Lublin Region, including Kazimierz Dolny, Zamość, Nałęczów, and the Roztocze region. Alongside history and culture, participants will also receive practical recommendations for planning a visit, including suggested tours, must-see attractions, local cuisine, and cultural events.
Located at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures, Lublin has for centuries been a meeting place of different nations, religions, and traditions. Today, it attracts visitors with the unique atmosphere of its Old Town, a vibrant cultural scene, and numerous artistic and cultural events. The city is also an excellent gateway to the Lublin Region, an area full of picturesque towns, Renaissance architectural gems, historic landmarks, and remarkable natural landscapes.
The city played an important role in the history of Poland and was once home to one of the most significant Jewish communities in Europe. This rich heritage can still be discovered today through its historical sites, museums, and cultural institutions.
The lecture will be conducted in English by Małgorzata Lipska-Boichuk (representative of the City of Lublin) and Marcin Dąbrowski (representative of the Lublin Regional Tourist Organization).
