ARTE Documentary on Nobel Peace Prize winner & Manhattan Project scientist Joseph Rotblat

An ARTE TV documentary on Sir Joseph Rotblat, a Polish scientist involved with the Manhattan Project before he left to devote his life to the fight against nuclear weapons

With worldwide interest in the Manhattan Project following the recent release of “Oppenheimer”, watch the ARTE TV documentary “The Strangest Dream” to learn more about another scientist from the Manhattan Project, Sir Joseph Rotblat, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995 👇

Born Józef Rotblat in Warsaw in 1908, Rotblat left the prestigious team of scientists working on the Manhattan Project and devoted his life to the fight against nuclear weapons, organising the Pugwash conferences to encourage scientists to meet and reflect on the role of science in society.

He died in London in 2005.
