‘The Peasants’ at the 67th BFI London Film Festival

A new hand-painted animated film from the makers of global sensation and Oscar nominated film 'Loving Vincent'. The film is also a 2023 Oscar nominee.

11th & 12th October, 6pm & 8:40pm, Curzon Mayfair and BFi Southbank

From the directors of Oscar-nominated ‘Loving Vincent’ (DK Welchman, Hugh Welchman) comes another stunning hand-painted animation, ‘The Peasants’ (Chlopi), based on a Nobel prize-winning novel by Wladyslaw Reymont.

Following on the success of their previous film Loving Vincent, which grossed $42 million at the box office, The Peasants will be produced in the same painting technique that won the hearts of fans around the world.

The film’s world premiere takes place at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023.
