Anita Łazińska Quartet @ Jazz Café POSK 28 Jan

A mix of jazz standards and original compositions from versatile vocalist, pianist and composer Anita Łazińska.

28 January, Jazz Cafe, POSK, Hammersmith

Anita Łazińska is a versatile musician – vocalist, pianist and composer. She currently is a member of the jazz vocal group Alle Choir London and the Wild Whispers band – both groups are in the process of releasing albums.

She has also recently been a part of projects such as All Souls’ Day Jazz Festival in London and Voicingers on Tour. She also had the pleasure of collaborating with such great musicians and/or bands like the Leszek Kułakowski Trio, Piotr Damasiewicz, Igor Zakus and Usein Bekirov and Maciej Sikała.

For this concert, Łazińska has prepared a mix of jazz standards and original compositions in very varied arrangements. These works were created over a period of 20 years and they are companions of her personal and musical growth.

Although she has presented them on other stages (WąbJazzno Festival or Browar B Cultural Center in Poland), in London these compositions will be performed for the first time.

Anita’s voice is peculiar; I can treat it like a musical instrument in jazz music – it has a large palette of colours, shades and dynamics, and what’s important it speaks the language of improvisation. Few singers can afford it. Anita is a real partner on stage” – Igor Zakus

Line up:

Anita Łazińska – vocals, piano, synthesizer

Kuba Cywiński – double bass

Francesco Lo Castro – guitar

Giuliano Osella – drums
