No Man’s Land“ brings together three Kraków-based artists whose practices engage with the intersections of sculpture, architecture, and landscape, creating works that blur the boundaries between disciplines. Rooted in material experimentation and spatial exploration, their art reflects on how forms and environments influence one another, drawing connections between the physical act of making and the broader cultural, historical, and social contexts in which their works exist.

In dialogue with traditions of site-specificity, the artists explore how sculptural and architectural forms can respond to shifting landscapes – both natural and urban. Their works evoke the structures of nomadic dwellings, ruins, or monuments, using these references to question the permanence and impermanence of human presence in space. By weaving together historical narratives with contemporary concerns, they reimagine the role of art in shaping, preserving, or disrupting our understanding of place.

The exhibition draws upon the legacy of artistic movements that have embraced interdisciplinarity, from land art to modernist architecture, while situating these ideas within a contemporary framework. Each artist brings a unique perspective to this exploration, whether by reinterpreting traditional materials, integrating organic and constructed forms, or referencing the historical evolution of landscape and architecture as tools of human expression.

No Man’s Land“ is not merely a presentation of objects but a space for inquiry. It invites viewers to consider how the histories embedded in materiality, the fluidity of disciplinary boundaries, and the interplay of past and present can shape our perception of the spaces we inhabit. The works resonate with the tension between stability and movement, permanence and adaptation, offering a layered perspective on the ways art negotiates its place in an everchanging world.

The project marks the beginning of residency cooperation between the cities of Leipzig and Kraków.
